Matthias Heilbronn 2010 Update
On the remix tip, 2009 proved to be Matthias’ busiest year to date, remixing over 15 songs by the likes of Maxwell ("Bad Habits"), Musiq Soulchild feat. Mary J. Blige ("If You Leave"), Solange feat. Bilal ("Cosmic Journey"), neo soul sensation N'Dambi ("The World Is A Beat"), and topped the billboard dance charts with Mary, Mary ("God In Me").
Matthias’ newly formed partnership with legendary DJ Joeski seems to be hitting the right spot, as their first two releases "Stuck In A Dream" and "Sabrosito" earned rave reviews: “Matty and Joeski have both made their mark individually over the years but with this collaboration they’ve scored something greater than the sum of the parts”. Their current single "I Got News" feat. Jessica Colasante hit Traxsources top 20, and the upcoming release, "My Fixx" was just signed to Satoshi Tomie's SAW imprint.
2009 marked Matthias Heilbronn's 15th year as a Producer/Remixer and what better way to finish it off then by coming full circle and remixing his own milestone '94 hit single, Deep Zone feat. Ceybil Jeffries - "It's Gonna Be Alright". 15 years after the original release, the classic was re-released courtesy of Defected Records with remixes by Matthias and went straight to the Top 5 on Traxsource's Top 100. December 2009 saw Heilbronn in the Top 100 with 3 concurrent singles.
What's Next?
· Matthias was selected to produce the music to "Rums Of Puerto Rico" 2010 ad campaign. He is collaborating with some of the most talented Latin musicians in the business, creating an album that ranges from classic Salsa to Bomba.
· Matthias’ remix of Toni Braxton's first new studio recording in 10 Years, "Yesterday" will be released in Jan. 2010.
· Heilbronn is currently in the studio writing and producing an album with Monique Bingham of Abstract Truth, continuing his collaborations with Joeski, and working on a separate album with UK reggae princess, Julie Higgins.
· A new single written by Matthias and house legend Gerdieau is getting the remix treatment by Adamski and French underground hero Rocco Rodaamal.
· 2010 will also see Matthias DJ around the globe, spreading his signature style and love for the music.
